"EVALUATING FROM LIFE"

On the 8th of September, the Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, we started joyfully in communion with the sisters from the Province of Our Lady of Montiel.
With the Virgin of Montiel who witnessed the birth of our congregation in her sanctuary at Benaguacil Valencia, Spain we thanked God for the present situation that we are living and we entrust our history and all that He will put into our hands.
Our brother Fr. Pedro Acosta, Vicar General of our Capuchin Tertiary Father have invited us during the Holy Eucharist to contemplate Mary as a woman open to God, disposed, ecclesial and universal.
The day’s work was oriented by Sisters Julia Apeteguía ( General Superior, who presented the General Report), Ana Maria Larramendi ( General Secretary, the Statistical Report) and Eugenia Giraldo ( Economic Report). All of them shared with mastery and precision the journey of the Congregation during the past six years.
The General Superior expressed that: “Now we present to you the document “Evaluating from our Life” , a report that summarizes the journey that their government have lived during these six years term, with its lights and shadows, with certainties and mistakes. She further said that what we can say, with assurance, in truth, is that we have put into the service all our capacities, the desire to serve. And that the dream of the Congregation to be a reflection of God´s Loving Mercy of which our Father Founder Luis amigo have entrusted to us as a gift and a charismatic task, be realized in the Church and in the world.
To continue, we underline some hints for the future from the reflection that Sr. Julia Apesteguía have shared to us :” At the end of our life God will ask for the talents that He has given to us.” These perspectives and priorities that we have presented to you at the end of our journey, could help all the sisters gathered in this Chapter to plan for the future under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This guide for the future will serve to make the love of God expressed through our Capuchin Tertiary charisma be concrete and understandable to our brothers and sisters of every race, culture and condition.
1. The General Government together with all the Sisters should urgently bring into completion the clear and defined process of the RE-STRUCTURATION of the Congregation: administrative structures, organization of each Demarcation, significant presence in different cultures, redistribution of personnel from our universal reality, acting from the principle of being called with our charisma to the evangelizing mission in the Church.
2. To recover FRATERNAL LIFE, an essential element of our charisma, moving from the solid interior life at personal and communitarian level.
3. The intercultural relation from a fraternal universal style of life and incarnated spirituality.
4. Elaboration of a Congregational study course about our CHARISMA coordinated by the General Government, that covers all the works that is published up to the present time but in a form of an “Academic Course” for the solid formation of all the current and future Formators, Directress´ of the our Own Centres, etc.
5. Preparation of the ongoing formation course about our charisma and spirituality for all the Lay people, Volunteers, collaborators and Amigonian Lay Movement that will unite and deepen the lay spirituality from our charisma.
The gratitude expressed by Sr. Julia Apesteguía to the sisters of General Counsel: Sisters María Amelia Luengas, Yalile Jurado, Amparo Alejos, Aleyda Garcés, to the General Secretary Sr. Ana María Larramendi and the General Treasurer Sr. Eugenia Giraldo was made ours also, the capitulars, to whom we gave our fraternal gesture of embrace to thank them in the name of all the sisters of the Congregation.
