18 August 2026. This Tuesday, the VI Extended General Council reached one of its decisive moments with the presentation of its conclusions and the definition of challenges and renewed actions that will guide the life of the Congregation in the coming years, in preparation for the celebration of the next General Chapter.
This moment marks the culmination of an extensive process of learning, listening and reflection on the reality of each circumscription and of the Congregation as a whole, as well as on various fundamental aspects of religious life and the challenges that lie ahead.
The day began with the morning liturgy, led by the Province of Nazareth. In an atmosphere of thanksgiving and prayer, the participants prepared themselves to receive the conclusions and lines of action that emerged from the work carried out during these days.
With hope and a renewed spirit, the assembly received the conclusions, challenges and renewed actions presented by the commission appointed for this mission. These guidelines will now serve as a point of reference for continuing to advance the Congregation’s journey and for putting into practice, in the different communities and circumscriptions.
The participants entrusted the entire Congregation and the work carried out during these days to God, in the hope that the reflections and decisions reached may be translated into concrete actions in the daily life of the communities.
The sisters also expressed their gratitude for the experience shared during the VI Extended General Council and for the many expressions of closeness and support they received. In a special way, they gave thanks for the prayers of the entire Congregation, the Amigonian laity, collaborators, family members and friends who spiritually accompanied the celebration and prayed for its fruits.
The gathering concluded by recalling the words of the founder, Luis Amigó: “Now, my daughters, be holy and give great glory to God,” an exhortation that renews the commitment to continue the mission with hope, fidelity and a spirit of service.
