During the thirteenth General Chapter (1962) the Congregation decided to transfer to Rome the General Curia that, since its foundation in 1885 had been in various places within Spain. On July 27, 1964, the new headquarter was settled in Rome, Via Cassia 1243, in an area belonging to the Diocese of Porto and Santa Rufina. The XIV General Chapter was the first one that took place in Rome and it was followed by all the others until the last, in 2016.
