Opening our minds and hearts, so that the Holy Spirit may imprint his seal on everything that springs forth like a fountain, infusing new vitality into our congregation and the church

August 12, 2026. The sisters participating in the VI Enlarged General Council began the day with the prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours and the celebration of the Eucharist, led by the sisters of the Delegation of Africa.

During the morning, the General Government guided the day toward personal reflection on the reality of the Congregation and the challenges that emerged from the insights received the previous day.

In the afternoon, the “Conversations in the Spirit” took place, providing a profound and prayerful space, marked by a deep commitment to seeking God’s will for our Congregation.

After a full day of work, the sisters enjoyed a time of recreation, with games, presentations of traditional dances from Asia and Colombia, and the joyful entertainment of the popular “Colombian trovas,” a traditional form of song and poetic composition. They also celebrated the sisters whose birthdays fall in the month of August. In simplicity and joy, they shared together and gave thanks for one another’s gifts and presence.

The assembly expressed its gratitude for the progress achieved by each commission and praised the Lord, who continues to work through humble human efforts and through the journey undertaken over these years under the leadership of the General Government.

The sisters also enjoyed the thoughtful gifts sent by several communities in Colombia, in an atmosphere of simplicity and fraternal joy.

At the end of the day, their hearts overflowed with joy and gratitude for so much goodness and for the love received from God.
